Psychotherapy for native English speakers in the north of Israel

I am a native English speaker, originally from the UK. I lived in the US for several years and received my MSW in New York. I have worked as a counselor and therapist since 2008 for clients from all walks of life, struggling with life crises, depression, chronic and acute illness, anxiety, OCD, eating disorders and other problems.
When I opened my private practice in Haifa, I specialized in working with overseas students and new immigrants who were suffering from a variety of psychological problems - all made more complicated by the fact of being in a foreign country – even for immigrants who had been in Israel for several years.
As an immigrant myself, I understand the complexities of living in a foreign country, living and working in a language that isn’t your native tongue, and the cultural and social struggles that can be compounded in times of stress and mental illness.
I offer a 20% discount for all immigrants within 10 years of aliya.

My experience:
I started my career as a high school teacher, then in 2008, I trained as a spiritual counselor in hospitals in Washington DC and Jerusalem, counseling patients with acute illnesses and those in critical condition and their families. This led me to retrain as a clinical social worker in 2010, and to work counseling parents and children in the Misgav Social services and Migdal HaEmek child development center. I worked with at-risk young women, intercultural groups and new immigrants, trained as a CBT therapist and established my private practice in Haifa in 2013. I trained in EMDR therapy for post-trauma and am currently completing Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) training.
I work at Telem Psychological Services in Karmiel where you can see me through your health insurance if you are with Maccabi or Leumit. I also work as a therapist for the Family Therapy Center at the Jezreel Valley Municipality. My private practice is based in Kibbutz Hannaton.

My vision:
Throughout my work in diverse settings, I have developed a practice based on empathy, compassion and healing, integrating tools from cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, Internal Family Systems and spiritual counseling.
I believe that you don’t have to suffer alone, there are concrete ways to feel better right now, and I will work with you for as long as you need to heal the pain and patterns that are stopping you from feeling happy and from having a peaceful life.
I will work with you to feel safe, loved and to accept yourself.
I specialize in working with creative, intelligent women struggling with perfectionism, with strong inner critic voices that get in the way of your happiness in work and relationships.

...What clients say

I combine several therapeutic methods in my work including ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy based on Mindfulness), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), and NVC (Non-Violent Communication).

In addition to my private practice, in the last few years I have worked as a therapist at the Israel Center for Addiction at Lev Hasharon Hospital in Netanya and at Hof Hagalil Psychological Services in Regba.

My private practice today is based in Kibbutz Hannaton.
