Treatment and support for trauma and difficult transitions

When trauma occurs, there is loss. This can happen as a result of an illness, an unexpected or planned life transition and of course in the case of the death of a loved one. In the natural grieving process there is a stage of shock, denial, anger, negotiation, sadness and acceptance. When grieving happens naturally, over time, we are able to function, feel internally stable and return to experiencing life fully, even though we live with the loss forever. I create an inclusive space to help you process the loss you are dealing with, through creative therapy techniques, art, writing, guided imagination, prayer and mindfulness, to help you express and make your voice heard and come to terms with the loss. PTSD When there is complex trauma, our brain does not integrate the trauma in a healthy way, and the loss can trigger other symptoms that cause us and our loved ones pain and suffering. This may occur in cases of abuse, sexual assault, war injuries and other lasting traumas. I work with patients using the EMDR method, a research-based clinical method for processing trauma that helps you integrate the trauma and reduce your suffering.

"I came to Debbie for EMDR therapy without knowing too much about the method, and with a great desire to treat a painful trauma I had gone through. The lovely Debbie, in her soft and loving way, took me on a significant and deep journey in which I was given permission to touch the experience without being afraid of it, and slowly process it and find a cure for it. Already after just a few meetings with Debbie, I felt a sense of relief about the trauma and I have no doubt that it due to the effectiveness of the method and mainly because of the gentle and honest way in which Debbie works."
